Butternut Balls

These cookies from Jann Bova were featured at the 2013 Cookie Swap.

  • 2 1/2 cups Pillsbury’s Best All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Confectioners sugar

Oven 400 degrees 42 to 48 cookies

In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except pecans. Blend well with mixer. Stir in pecans; mix thoroughly.

Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into balls the size of walnuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not brown. While warm, roll in additional confectioners sugar.
