For the 2026-2027 year, a non-voting BOD position of “2nd VP” was created. This position will work with the Vice President to assure that the various tasks are completed. This new position is a 3-year commitment. Year two, this person transitions to Vice President. Year three, this person transitions to President.

This new leadership proposal was created by the Nominating Committee as they struggled to find leaders to make a 4 year commitment. This changed EAGC from a 4 year leadership commitment (2 years of VP followed by 2 years of President) to a 3 year commitment of leadership to the club (2nd VP, VP, President). If EAGC decides to permanently change to this leadership proposal, the By-Laws will need updating.

The yearly term for Officers of the Board is July 1 – June 30. The VP and 2nd VP serve from 1st Thursday in September till 3rd Thursday in June. The vice president is expected to assume the role of the president and perform any duties assigned by the president. The vice president administers the annual scholarship and updates board job descriptions.
