At the end of the school year last summer, the club awarded our scholarship to a worthy student from the Seacoast School of Technology (SST). The following speech was given by our President Patti Elwell at the award ceremony:
Some of the members got together for a mid-summer informal meeting at Pettengill Farm in Salisbury MA where we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch, chatted about pesky animals in the garden and shopped around for bargains. The folks at Pettengill made us feel quite welcome and even gave us each an annual to take home. Max took some snaps of this beautiful and interesting garden center.
I went on a 3 day garden tour to Booth Bay Harbor in Maine which was sponsored by Pettengil Farm. The highlight of this fun trip was a stop at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. These are beautiful, beautiful gardens. Go if you get a chance. You won’t be sorry. Here are a couple of snaps, but if you really want a good look click here to go to my website to see more.
