I bet it is a rose bush and she is just getting our goat by saying that Scotland has roses and we are just lucky to have a few crocuses blooming! I know Southern Scotland has had Spring for awhile so that’s my thought.

The flowers look rose-like,but not the leaves or stems. Maybe a type of azalea or rhododendron?
