The Dutch Think Big!
Thanks to Linda V. for sharing this great story. What began in 1936 as a flower parade has become the oldest and most celebrated ode to blooms in Europe. Ever since its inception, Zundert, the home of Vincent Van Gogh, in the Netherlands has hosted the annual flower show known as Bloemencorso on the first Sunday of every September. An average of 50,000 visitors descend on the town to look at the brilliant displays. Creators use only dahlias for their breathtaking displays of gravity defying sculptures.
Take a look at these wonderful photos.

Flowers have been meticulously placed to create the giraffes, including their eyelids and neck hair.
